Audi S3 vs GTI vs Nissan Micra - My Video Review

Just did a video about the GTI vs S3. Our online show Mighty Mods is all about modifying your car on the cheap and doing it yourself.

But the thing with these cars, is that you really don't need to modify them because they come from the factory pretty damn good.

So instead we decided to find something particularly european and classy in these two cars, and add that element to another cheap car from the Mighty Mods garage...

I hope you enjoy - we put a lot of effort into this one. All shot in HD, camera jibs, dolly, crane etc and wrote a piece of music for each car.

And if you don't have a GTI or an S3 then you can do the project at the end of the video to give your ride that euro flavour.

The new Micra is not a 'REAL' Micra as far as the Micra enthusiasts are concerned, and Marty is about the biggest enthusiast there is, which is why he owns 2 of them!

We shot it over the last 2 weeks and finished it at 1am last night.

It's about as new as you can get!

Cheers mate. Our budget is $0 but we really wanted to make this episode visually 'expensive' looking.

I asked Marty to make a dolly so the camera can sit on rails (for all of the moving shots past the cars) and he managed to put that together for around $50 and we'll use that in future vids also. If anyone has ideas for future episodes then let us know because we have the S3 and the GTI both here and ready to go

We just got an email from someone who watched this video and didn't believe that we actually owned the cars. They said "Those cars are too expensive and you don't look like you would own one"

Tried to talk him into it? Can't believe he didn't beat down your door with a SWAT battering ram to get it.

Marty loves those Micras - he just can't stop talking about them, even with the variety of other cars he has available! Whenever we're driving along he'll say "whoooa look at that" and I think he's talking about a motorbike or an R8, but no, it's always a Micra AND NOW HE OWNS 2 OF THEM! One to drvie around in, and the other as the recipient of a 2001 Pulsar engine that he's building at the moment. He's Micra CrAZy!

We're installing a playstation controller in the Micra next time and doing a cool mod to the horn that will work on any car.

Marty just bought another Micra yesterday! Now we have 3.

But this one is very unique in that it's factory 0-100 time is the same as my GTI, but he also has some mods done to it already.

PS Just read the review of the S3 in Top Gear Magazine VS WRX STI and it hammered it. As expected
