RNS510 & Bluetooth

Of those who have had Bluetooth fitted on the RNS510, did you get the Premium or Parrot fitted. By premium, i'm refering to the fully intergrated version in Europe.

The reason i ask is that i've noticed a few dealers who have NFI of the difference!

Please share if you had it fitted before or after delivery and how much, how long, etc.

I've been waiting on VW selling Premium Bluetooth since March 08. The last i heard was it had been delayed until Nov 08.

I've given up on VW and plan to get Premium Bluetooth installed by Harding Performance in a couple of weeks.

Stu @ Octavia-vRS.com sells the OEM integrated bluetooth kit for £230 plus £50 shipped to Australia.

I'm thinking of getting a set. Does anyone know of a good installer in Sydney?

i was speaking to my girlfriends aunty from Belgium the other week and asked her to ask a VW dealer over there about the intergrated premium bluetooth and the only thing they could offer her was the damn parrot bluetooth!!!

Also a group buy on that premium one from that website would be good im sure theres heaps of people who would want it

Purchase & install is $1,500 so we might be able to knock of a smidge with a group buy.

Get HP to import and their resellers/agents around the country to install. Would work a treat. Who's keen?

Bad news guys! No discounts on group buys from Stu. However, we would be able to save on shipping. Here's his reply:

"I’m afraid I cannot offer a discount on the kits as there honestly is no margin or profit in them, although I would imagine you’ve guessed this if you’ve shopped around and seen others selling the same stuff for near on double the price. What I can do is significantly reduce the individual shipping costs if I can ship them all to the same address, shipping is the real issue as I send them by airfreight which as you would expect is expensive."

£280 = approx AUD$580.

Would it be cheaper to get it through HP as suggested by savory?
