this thread is fail... And I have come to a few conclusions:

*We all drive VW's and we've made a good choice, hence the forum
*Every variation is different and satisfy various customer needs, hence why VW is still making money
*Comparing the 3 and 5 door GTI's is like comparing two incredibly women and rating them against each other in a vain attempt to determine which is better looking. Despite the fact that you would take either of them at the drop of a hat.
*And finally that thread which purely involve personal opinions and preference over fact and common sense are pretty much stillborn discussions and hence extra fail.

Hi, the three door cars have biger doors, so you dont have the door pillar getting in the way when you look out, especially if you sit far back in the seat. They just look so much more sport and not family.

I have three door, it is easier to get in and out of, it is more fun on your own or just one other.

I reckon 5doors are the better of the two because of the lines, it fills it out more and that's just my opinion Also the 3-door makes your insurance more expensive so screw that $1500 cheaper rubbish!

At the end of the day..you're still driving a fcuking awesome GTI (only if it's white/silver/charcoal/black and manual ) that has a phat VW badge on it for a very good reason: It's a DUB!


EDIT: Oh, and I'd also rather a 5-door incase anyone wanted to get in the back through my driver's seat. If anyone touches my seat positioning, they die

I think there is one simple argument for this. If you list the top 100 coolest cars ever produced. Im sure most of them will be 2 doors. Therefore I think its safe to say that the 2 door golf is a much much much cooler beast
