Installed my gtb1756vk turbo, 3inch dump and hard pipework kit. took way longer than expected to get the hard pipework kit to fit as i was sent the wrong pipes from d/s in the UK (not going to promote them as the kit is overpriced and they screwed me three times!) Car now makes all the right noises and just needs some logging done to perfect the tune... happy camper

Installed a NewSouth boost gauge, bit of fiddling around, then when I finished the whole right hand side of the car lost power. Eventually it all turned out ok!

Not sure if when in idle it's supposed to sit on 20hg, because mine sits on 19hg!

Thanks mate [emoji1]. I will most probably be modifying it a VW cover (properly of course)
It touches ever so slightly on the the corner of the pod filter housing. If it were just 1mm smaller it wouldn't touch at all. Perfect fit [emoji108]
I'll take a pic of the clearance and shoot it over to you when I get homeLast edited by milldinho; 19-01-2015, 03:04 AM.

I've had the same issue with my charge pipe coming off quite frequently.Originally posted by bgcarter1 View Postloaded a new tune on at midnight, blew off a intercooler hose around 1am.. loving it!Driver Motorsport Tuned | Melbourne Car Meets | Insta: @VLNTVADERR

When it happens on a diesel it feels as though you are driving a 1980 gemini diesel lolOriginally posted by Deadpool View PostI've had the same issue with my charge pipe coming off quite frequently.07 Jetta Tdi, DSG(tuned),Gtb1756vk turbo, 3inch dump, Malone tune, 4bar map, EGR+EGR Cooler delete, S3 Intercooler, Hard pipe kit, Gti rear sway bar, 18x8 Enkeii gtc01, nitto tyres, Rear Lip Spoiler, Votex Front Lip, Slotted and drilled rear Discs, Neuspeed springs, LED interior lights, Blackened window trims, Carbon covered pillars, Gti lower front Grill, canbus update, rcd510, tinted indicators, gti paddle shift wheel, soon to have Votex Side Skirts, Coilovers, Porsche Brakes,8mm wheel spacers, Alloy control arms, GTI front sway bar, S3 bushings....

Mine boosts at 22psi in 4th gear. Then it goes down to 15 and holds there.. does that sound normal? Had some weird stuff happen to the car since I got it installed. Twice I lost all power, it felt like the car went into limp mode. Had no power at all, felt like the turbo wasnt working. Top speed was like 100km/h. Still don't know what the issue was.Originally posted by milldinho View PostMechanical gauges are almost all bit inaccurate unless you go really high end ones. I have a new south gauge as well but with osir vent pod. It can be up to 4 psi difference at full boostGOLF 6 R - APR stage 1

Yeah mine was reading around the same when I had the k03 sometimes it got to 25psi. Don't exactly know what the correct boost pressure peaks at but it definitely drops off quite significantly
When I got the k04 it would go past 30psi sometimes and I know that's wrong because k04 stage 2+ tune is around 22psi.
so I ripped it out.
I swear I thought I lost a bit of power too, never went into limp mode or completely lost power, just felt not as zippy. thinking the boost gauge lines had a leak or something. Another reason why I ripped it out
Are you running an aftermarket diverter valve?
