Hi has anyone had any experience with upgrading the hpfp. Does the golf r use a higher volume pump? I have seen Autotech do a upgrade kit but not sure about it. Any help will be appreciated

No point in upgrading unless you plan to tune for it. Which would mean having a downpipe too.
The R hpfp is the same and still needs upgrading to address low fueling issues and keep up with t he boost it can make.
ok cool was not sure about the golf r hpfp. I have a K04 turbo to go on the car. I understand it needs to be tuned just trying to sort out the hpfp atm so i can go ahead with the instal. Just not to sure what is the best option.
The Autotech HPFP upgrade is a well proven and reliable product. Many people in Australia and other countries use it - including myself.
