I'm due to replace my brake rotors and pads front and back. I rang a supplier and they said there is 3 different sizes available for my model. Do you guys know what the common rotor size would be for 2008 GTIs in Australia?

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Who did you call, can they not work it out from the VIN?
Get your brakes from Brakes Direct on Nudgee Road, you wont have these dramas to contend with.

A brake & clutch supplier in Rocklea, but they said have to take them off to check the size. I didn't realize they can check from a VIN I'll get that and get in touch with that mob at Nudgee Road, not far from me. Cheers.
Can get it all done at my usual mech. for $800... as far as I can tell should be able to get parts for $500... so I if I can get labour for under $300 then I'm saving money.
