1997 TE Mitsubishi Magna 3.0 - Everyone bags the Magna but it's a surprisingly good car. The gearbox started playing funny buggers though so it was time to make it 'someone elses problem'.

Jetta TDI was a hell of an upgrade but I'll probably have it for at least 5 years so why muck around?

Snap, i had a Raven 05 R1 too. I sold it about a year ago and had been getting by in a 99 Freelander TD. Intention was to buy another bike but i ended up getting the ****s with the Freelander and needed a better car for work so plowed the dosh into a new Golf. Still intend to get back on 2 wheels this year though, been eying up Honda SP1's for my tax return.

I bought a Jetta TDI after deciding to retire my Landrover Disco Tdi from day to day driving. The garage also contains a fully restored (by me) 1950 Riley 2.5 L drophead coupe and her Mitsui Colt

Have owned a lot of British and Italian stuff over the years including Healey 100/4, Jaguar Series 3 5 speed manual (former Tokyo Motor Show exhibit), Alfa 1750 GTV and Guilietta.

Daily drivers have included several Subarus (bought the first one new in 1980) and a few beetles - 1960 standard, 1972 Superbug and in 1989 I bought a 1961 deluxe that had done a genuine 21,000 miles from new.

70 mazda R100, sensational little car, great dash, great handling, great speed ,no brakes! kept it untill 2000 when I got the Cupra.

82 TF 3.3 ford cortina wagon, my first new car, what a shocker!
94 mazda 626 2.0 hatch, great car, saved my wifes life when she had a collision with a commodore/fence/gum tree!

93 mazda 626 2.5 V6 hatch, better than the dead one.

1985 Toyota Corolla Seca (Had no end of trouble with it).
1999 Mazda Astina 323 30th Anniversary Edition (Great little car, went well and was very reliable).
2006 Subaru Impreza 2.0R (never buy an auto Subaru, an absolute sloth ).
2007 Golf GTI DSG (Everything the Subaru wasn't, fast, good fuel economy and the worlds best semi auto gearbox ).

Nice to see another rider here. Mate got the first new edition to the family on the way, so the 2 wheels had to go so we have 2 cars. The Jetta was my compromise with the missus

Also looking forward to getting another bike. Would have to say though im eyeing off a new Ducati 848.

1988 Nissan cefiro factory manual turbo. Then just add in 2 A4 pages of mods to it... And thats it.

Sooo can't wait for the Jetta, even if VW are making me wait even longer, and trying to charge me for my deposit... However that works!
