  • Joining 3" catback to 3" downpipe

    Hi all

Not long ago I have a stage 2 tune and had a 3" downpipe installed. I am now purchasing a Milltek 3" catback. My question is, how do I go about joining the catback to the downpipe?
Both joining ends of the downpipe and catback flare out to 80mm outer diameter.I just want to do a bolt on install with no welding but would also like to minimize any leaks.

    Cheers.

Maybe ask someone to make a factory style "slip join" similar to what was on there?
I just installed a Neuspeed cat-back a few months ago, it mated up to the stock downpipe and the slip-join has worked without a drama so far.

Plenty of slip joiners on eBay, in various sizes, bigger problem will be where they both end / start, they are not universal in all cases, ideally they will match up, or one will be too long and you can cut it off, worst case you will have a gap.

Will a 3" slip joint still fir over the joint? As the joint is a bit bigger
