Whilst it doesn't help that was a mistake that occurred with your car and unfortunately these happen and I'd be as mad as you but it was still a mistake.

The difference is that I was deliberately mislead on a number of areas including finance, trade in and a number of other areas. I won't use stronger words then that but the conduct of Austral VW in my opinion was <insert word here>.

In my mind if they will treat one customer like this they will treat the rest the same. I would rather deal with a dealer that doesn't act in this manner. Mistakes will occur and probably at the same rate across the dealerships but it's when they go to that next level that I really have an issue.

The best way to compare would be if they deliberately ordered the wrong leather and misled you the whole time about it up until the point of delivery when they asked you for another $5000 to take the car knowing that if you didn't you would be left with having to pay out your own car which was due for final payment within days.

Hit the nail on the head my man. Every experience comes down to the staff member.

I do have to say, like Riely, I found a uniform willingness to go the extra mile for me out of town where they HAVE to try for the business to get you to bother to drive for an hour out of your way!

Well about the whole out of town thing... I had to walk next door to ask if they were part of the same company. When I got a stupid 'yeah' from the lady at the desk, I promptly replied well there is NO one in there! Eventually she found someone, and that person couldn't give me a firm price so someone was apparently going to call me back today. Ditto with our friends in the vally. I mean, I went in there an said straight up what I wanted, and how I wanted to buy it.

As above, someone is going to have a bad experience everywhere, weither it be from a mistake or just plain old bad service. I guess the trick is how the dealership then deals with that problem.

              Stunning car.
Graphite Blus suits the Jetta best,I however went for Silver...smart and practical.
The Cream leather and sunroof add a bit more class to this VW.
