Well my GT Sport had 52 km on it, and when the salesman tried to reset the odo (you can reset it to 0 if the car has less than 100km on it), it wouldn't reset, indicating that it had already been reset! That means my car had potentially already done 150 km (very hard kms too no doubt) before I took delivery! I couldn't be bothered getting into a big s#*%fight with the Dealership, so I let it slide.

I would have thought prior to all deliveries the computer would have been 'tripped' but than again, am I that naive

Brake light seems fine especially since it was fixed on the spot.

16km is pretty normal, i think mine was around 18km.

                  Did you get anything else?
I'd be asking for a third key to be tossed in at the same time for the inconvenience. How do you lose the key on a brand new car with 16km on it?

The brake light should have been picked up as part of dealer delivery, makes you wonder what else they forgot to do.

Mine was 10km which I was happy with.

What is the pre-delivery of $2000 for and didn't find a broken light ?
and no key why didn't they nick one from another car and re program it.
My car came with no bottle opener and no towing hook. And in front of my eyes the dealer reset the speedo to zero. You will get the letter from VW asking you to go the website to say what you thought of the dealer service.

Probably because the key wouldn't fit the car!

If I'm not mistaken the key itself comes from Germany.

The price to get a new key is around $400 for a Mark 5.

Just got a call from the dealership...apparently they found my keys near/under a cabinet. I am going to collect tomorrow. I have asked (and the dealer has agreed) to give me carpet mats (original I hope) for my troubles...

Thats how mine was driven when i picked it up.
I let it fully warm up then flogged the ass off it up into the dandenongs and through the mountains.
It has not used one drop of oil since i got it and its done 5000 kms now.
