Lol, they are now sitting in the corner of our lounge room.
So I was lucky to get them in the house at all!

Trial fit and drive with the v710's fitted.

      Needs a drop

Overall pretty happy with the look, was worried they would make the car look like a truck.
Will look better with a drop.
Looking at getting a set of FK coilovers.
Read lots of good reviews with these coilovers- awesome value for money!

      Wheel specs: 19in x 8.5 ET35
      On standard GTI suspension.

I have decided the VMR's are going to be too much of a drama to work on the car. ET is too extreme for what I want to do with the car.

If anyone is interested in swaps for some Detroits or something else in a 18in size please PM me.

How does it go with the stage 2?

              Still missing the MK2?

              Cheers

                Hi Paul,
Yeah pretty happy with it! It's plenty quick enough!! Missing my old mk2 though.
Haven't heard anything from the new owner so I'm guessing he has it in the road.
                Merry Christmas!

                  A couple of updates.
Fitted new south boost gauge (thanks to another forum member)- nice to see some healthy boost , getting around 18 psi in 3-5 gear when giving it a bit.

And yes it's a R version, I actually like the blue on white and well price was right
Spotted this while I was there, confirms my stage 2 tune has been done.

Thanks to Mad TT I finally have some lowering springs on their way to me soon, so will be dropping the stance a bit.
Heard good things with the Megan Racing Springs and these should do nicely till I have some spare cash for coilovers. Have plenty more plans before I do that though.

                  To do:
                  *fix headlining
*find annoying rattle in drivers door (possible loose bolt??)
*fit reversing camera and pay a visit to Darkside to get gateway updated.

Fixed it yet or are you too busy driving it?

Still ugly though, not like the "classic" Golf we used to own.

                      Hey Paul,
Headlining is hanging in there haven't had much spare time for projects due to work and family commitments.
A new set of Bridgestone RE003 tyres were fitted last week which has made a difference on the back roads.

I have a suspected noisy rear wheel bearing which I'll have to get onto.
                      Also due for 120k service.
