Golf V GT 1.4L TSI - service centre says I need 4 new injectors?!?!?!?!?!

I remember reading somewhere else on this forum or another that the spray pattern had been changed in a different revision of the injectors so I didn't think to question the mechanic when he told me the same thing.

Anyways, since I was planning on selling the car anyway, I managed to find a buyer willing to take a gamble on the injector(s) being just dirty and needs a good clean rather than a replacement so I've since sold the car. I miss it already
