MY09 GTI $522 AAMI (excess $595.)

You could have $500 excess for about $542pa IIRC.

Cheapest with anyone else was around $900 - $1100.

Good luck if you have to have the car repaired, your car will end up at the lowest price desperate for work repairer having quality work performed by a 16 year old apprentice who can't spell Volkswagen.

Do a search on here and golfmkv.com to see all the people with AAMI problems including the recent case where a $15K repair on a GTI dragged out into a 4-5 month ordeal where the repairer screwed the repair up so bad that the car was a write off.

and yet I've had two car claims with AAMI over the last two cars, and the claim, process and repairs have been excellent. My last BA GT repair, and I was deadset treated like royalty. AAMI are currently looking after my storm damaged house, and again, I can't fault them.

Perhaps I'm just lucky.

My 1997 Vr6 insured for 11k would cost my father 900 a year, and he's 52, its all about the postcode and have a go at 2165 for laugh to see what you'd get for a more valulable car...

Lol.... 2165 <--- That's enough..... Amazed at how important a postcode is!!!
