well well well its been a while...
got a gti interior today picked it up at 10pm and installed by 1am; jayjay and i just couldnt wait 
its a straight forward swap. undo four m10 spline bolts for each front seat. then cut off the connectors from both the new seats and the old seats. solder the corresponding wires from the new seats into the connector of the old seats and then plug it all in. no vag-com required (unlike what that douchebag who wrote the so called how-to on vortex says, he obviously cant solder or something).
