I wonder home many more $5 items they leave off or charge $$$ for. (actually I know, look at the UK models.... under seat bins (which I hope I get) etc etc)
        Youre right.
Enabled with VagCom, now i get the light on the dash when i frist turn the ignition on.
Need to buy the switch and harness now.
        Thanks once again.

Dumb question, but has anyone tried ordering these parts through VWA?

The switch may be available but probably quite expensive and the harness is custom made I understand as VW don't do retrofits of this kit and only fit it with the wiring in place on the wiring loom.

Far cheaper to get from overseas.

I just ordered mine and sent through payment via paypal.

£275.96 GBP = $563.30 USD = $592.72 AUD (much better then the parrot crud that the dealers sell for $900-$1000)

I am going to enable TPMS in the ABS coding with VagCom first and make sure it is learning the values. If so then i will purchase the switch and harness.

The switch is only a reset as you know so i will be able to code the controller and see if it starts to learn.

Knowing me I'll probably see that its learnt then let some air out of a tyre just to see the light come on so I'll be stuck with the light on until i install the switch, or disable it again.
I enabled the TPMS w/ VAGCOM. After I had done this I found a puncture in my right rear.

Today I got it fixed after being quite low. When I left beaurepairs about 2 mins later the TPMS light came on

Kinda convenient as now I can test the switch when it is installed.

Can anybody with the feature working comment on its sensitivity in terms of how deflated a tyre needs to be before the light comes on.
