    hey all..... has anyone tried the continental mc5s? I have heard great reviews on continentals but haven't heard of anyone using them on gtis.

    Nice tyre, and are actually pretty cheap. But very noisy when wear is getting pretty low.

      My wife has them on her GT Sport and doesn't like them as much as the original SC2's. She commented they don't feel as firm in handling and a friend with them on a Passat has said similar.

        I went away from the MC5 when I replaced my SC2 on m GT Sport as I read a number of reports about increased road noise when they get worn out. I was also wary of grip performance not being as good as the SC2. In the end I swapped them for a full set of PilotSport 3 (which are awesome).

            I think they are fine for the money (have them on a Mazda SP23)

            PS3 are definitely better

              I was in my local tyre shop getting semi slicks fitted for the next track day

              We talked about the Continental MC5's (they are on my wife's Mazda3)
              They said the MC5 is a good all round tyre but runs pretty short of expectations on mileage
              Useful to know!
