Yes, I asked to be provided with the notes - but they didn't want to provide them to me... - I think the coolant distributor, they were talking about a small plastic part apparently near the vacuum pump... :s. The car is going into a Euro shop tomorrow morning to get looked at.

In regards to the current draw, I did a proper test today, locked the bonnet, attached a multimeter in series and left the car for 35 mins... current draw was 0.00-0.03amps... going up and down. Now I watched this for 5 minutes, so im not sure if this would have spiked again later; however, I am now more confused than before. I currently have my original 1K0-907-530-E gateway installed that is apparently NOT compatible at all... so I am not sure what's going on at all.....

I also reinstalled my 7N0-907-530-L gateway tonight to give it another shot at coding out that battery regulator module to remove it form showing up in the Auto-Scan's totally... its not possible, I tried everything. I cant insert my original modules long coding into the 19-CAN gateway long coding helper as this is no longer compatible, the coding is simply 35003 and cant be changed. I couldnt find anywhere else to remove the battery regulator module, its unticked in the installation list but for some reason is still showing up.

As mentioned, I also pushed the dealer to update my original gateway on Friday with the TPI's listed above on Ross-Tech's website, they said they could not find them. I even spoke to the service manager who said they were not able to find them at all... so I am not sure where they would be...

If you are a VW tech, maybe you can check?

Current draw of 0.0-0.03 amps is a good reading. If you have a way of recording your reading. Do it overnight with a time reference to see if the car wakes up every now and then or stays asleep..
Ok yea then they are referring to the thermostat housing. It is like a central hub for the cooling sytem. Straightforward to replace and very important its not leaking for obvious reasons.

For the tpi the issue may be its not for the Australian market. I will have a bit of a dig when I get to work. If it isnt for our market then it may not be able to be carried out. (Vw servers, etc)
Unfortunately it may very well be thay the hardware in your new gateway is not compatible. Try the current test with the new one for a lengthy period and see what you get. Anything under 0.04A I wouldnt lose sleep over.

        Hahaha, don't feel bad.

Great cars if you can put up with the seemingly standard $300 to $500 repair along with every 15k service as they get older. And it isn't the KMs which kills these cars, it is just plain old age by the looks of it. Still cheaper than buying a new one!!!

As for the electrical errors being reported...well I don't mean to sound mean, but what do you expect when you go changing things from factory configuration? Hehe. You'll sort them out eventually with the right help..keep plugging away!
