might want to be a little careful with that, i think these cars have pre-tensioners on the seat belt buckles.

if you go unplugging the wrong plug you will trip the air bag light which will need to be reset by the dealer or vag-com.

yep you're right. the pretensioners are inside the b-pillar though if im not mistaken. but yes itd be a pain to trip an air bag fault lol. my plug fell out thats why mine doesnt ding anymore.

Im in Ringwood Vic and am interested in getting someone to see if they can adj the speedo as per VW tsb to reduce error?
Rain closing windows would be nice too.

OK I'm pulling up an old thread, but has anyone had any luck turning on the remote horn beep with lock / unlock? I found the section, ticked the boxes but no difference. No big deal, just weird it didn't work.

I also played around with the seat belt chime, windscreen washer level etc, and when turned on, it was telling me to refill the bottle when it was virtually full, and brimming it made no difference. Has anyone had any luck there, as I'm about to start using my washer bottle for an intercooler spray, and a low level warning would be handy.

You don't have a sensor in the water bottle, you have the ~3.5l one that non bi-xenon cars get. The ~5l bottle that the cars with bi-xenon has a sensor for low level. Hence the warning.

Did you uncheck the box for block horn/alarm config? There's around 4 screens where there are settings. It may not work at all without the alarm module.

Thanks Mav, that explains the washer bottle thing. I figure you are on the money with the horn only working with arming and disarming the alarm...which I don't have.

Best tick some other boxes and see what happens!

I have one in Thomastown, Melb, Vic if anyone is desperate. Will VAGCOM for beer.

Things to do when you get your car:
1) Turn of the damn seatbelt chime
2) Enable rain-closing of windows (and sunroof if you have one)(you can do this by MFD if you have the full one)

Things I also did:
3) Lengthened the time that the rear demister and mirror heaters work for from 10 mins to 30 mins
4) Set footwell lamps to 100% from whatever the dimmer was set at
5) Did adaptation in order to adjust the HID's down a bit (sick of getting flashed)
6) Other stuff that I can't remember

I'm interested in enabling the rain-closing of windows... Any chance you are free to help out?

I have my VAG-COM but dont yet have my dub so i cant play.
