Hi All
So I have a battery problem and it has all started since getting it back from the crash repairers about 12 months ago. Last year I was driving it 1-2ce a week and I noticed that when I hadn't driven it for 2 weeks it wouldn't click over straight away (.5-1 second delay) other times when I had driven it 3-4 times a week it would start straight away.
Battery was replaced with a brand new VW battery in March 2013.
The last time I drove it was on the 1st November 2013, I then went away on an extended overseas trip until the 5th January 2014. I tried starting it the other day and it was completely dead, the heads up display barely came on. Now that is not normal I assume? When I had my factory battery in there back in 2008, I went overseas for 3 months came back and the car started... Not sure what is going on!??!
The crash was only the front of my car, one thing that the repairer's did was replace my HID's with a new kit. I had the HID's hooked up to the battery via a relay so it drew power from there when igniting. The repairer's have done it differently and simply installed that kit into the headlights as a 'Plug and Play' kit. Could this be it? Or do batteries discharge over 8 weeks?
Thanks
Remi
