Air conditioner service in Newcastle?

I have a 147FSI Jetta which I have just passed on to my daughter in Newcastle. I live in Yass. The aircon is playing up for her. Can someone recommend a good aircon service place in Newcastle? The last time it needed fixing required the change of a Schraeder valve and a regas and I used one of our local guys down here.

Apologies if something like this has been posted before but I couldn't find anything.

The a/c compressors go in the Golf/Jettas sometimes - i hope its not that.

If you think it needs a simple regas then you can take it to pretty much any auto electrician to be regassed. A girl at work had a regas done a few weeks ago at Thompsons Auto Electrics at Mayfield and it was $150. Get your daughter to look in the Yellow pages to find someone close to her. Some places also offer a mobile service.

If you think it may be something a bit more troublesome, then perhaps give the guys at European Car Centre at Wickham a call. They know the Golf/Jetta platform like the back of their hand and will either be able to help, or direct you to someone who can.
