I hear you Gregoz. My drive home was all about boost and had nothing to do with road speed or cornering speed. I had paperwork, extra oil, a gift basket, my lunch, stuff for work etc spread out in the back seat, so anything too crazy would have been ugly!

I only started to even begin to explore the handling at about 200kms in. I'm well aware clutch, brakes, transmission, cv's diffs etc all need a bit of time to bed in. New brake pads tend to glaze if they don't get a chance to bed, but think how many people nationwide get new pads, tyres etc and just drive as per usual without any consideration of a break in period. That and there was flippin traffic in the arvo!

I spent my time on a hilly, twisty drive, as this was perfect for me to keep the car in the 2-3500rpm range and short shift it making it work and boost away without high road speeds. This was my aim. I specifically planned the long way home, as my other option was an hour on the freeway.
