Just for the record, it has a built date of 12 August and a complianced date of 21 Novemeber.
    Not to me it doesnt.
    I wasnt fussed about it.

Thats what i thought, i reckon its better to have a the car sitting in the garage than waiting for it to be built, even if it does marginally affect the resale value down the track, not that it should. When i sold my 05 R1 it was actually built November04 but as it was a MY05 bike it was sold as such. Even though it was registered December 04 noone questioned it.

Other good point is that GT TDI was not even available as MY07.
      currrently... MY10 GTI | DSG | Candy White | Sunroof | 18's | BT | MDI
previously... MY08 GT TDI | DSG | Reflex Silver | Sunroof

Anything ordered in DEC would be an 08 build anyway.
I also ordered in 1st week of Dec.
if u're ordering then it makes no difference.

but they might have 07 built cars with my spec on boats coming, which is not what i want.

What's special about the RNS510 (compared to the Parrot, for example)? The Parrot I had dealer-fitted works well, no complaints, although it doesn't show me caller ID or let me choose contacts via the MFD...

EDIT: just realised the RNS is a SatNav thingie, not just a BT handsfree?

10/ Gee it's pissing down here in Sydney!
I tell you what... But, I'm mightily impressed with the wet grip of those Conti SportContact 2, and the suspension. My AWD Subie (with let-down Yoko tyres) had more traction from a standing start but tended to lose footing in fast corners on wet roads far more easily. In fact, I haven't skidded even once around a corner yet in the GT Sport...

          Cheers
          Steffen.

                  '

I recently sold my previous car. Was Dec 2004 compliance plated and first registered in January 2005.

Because it was compliance plated in Dec 2004 I had to advertise it as a 2004 year car. (Even though it was MY2005 spec car).

It may not make a difference when trading in a car. But when selling privately it makes a HUGE difference. Lets face it - if two cars were in identical condition, identical spec, colour etc. one advertised as a 2004, the other as a 2005. Which car do you think the average Joe would lean toward?

My car was delivered in late December 2007. I had arranged a clause in my contract for the compliance plate to be entered as January 2008. That way when I sell my car in 3 years time it will be a 2008 car. May not be a big deal for some - for me it was.
