Manual tuning will sort that out. 950 Euro includes the shipping, best prices I've seen on ebay are around the 1200 Euro mark.

Tommy sells units for 950 Euro with GPS antenna no mucking about. Everyone who has ordered off him has given great feedback be it US, Europe or Aus....

As soon as i get my car i will be installing it that weekend, or that night i pick it up. Im going to feel sick the day after picking it up so may not be able to go to work.!!

The wait is killing me, especially with all the toys I'm collecting ready to install.

Tuning wont be a problem same frequency range, just scan for stations as you would on any car radio.

Just need the Aussie DVD Maps now to justify the purchase of the RNS-510 to the missus.
If anyone comes across a place to purchase the premium bluetooth module also, please post it up on here. Desperate for one.

BT antenna, yes it does, as can be seen in the ebay pictures.

They found a car, without but offered to retro fit SatNav, which I was fine with, as long as it was the new RNS-510. Well it seems they are trying to flog the old one off on me, telling me it's great, and that the new one is not out in Sydney yet and cannot be retro fitted.

Does anyone know a dealer in Sydney, happy to fit the new SatNav?

There is a thread on here about a non-vw satnav for our cars, for $899. i am waiting on a demo of the unit but am pretty interested to see how it operates, has most of the features of the 510 except the hard disk (though it does have USB which for me is preferable) and also has a reversing camera if u are that way inclined.

What bluetooth options with RNS-510?

Hi guys, long time first time

Just a quick query about the RNS-510 and how it works with BT.

I am just about to place an order for a new GTI with the RNS510 unit. Could someone confirm what the dealers are charging for this option? Is it $2490 or $2990 (which I think is the old price for the option on GTIs)?

Also do I need to add a BT module option to be able to use the steering wheel controls or is this standard? From reading this thread it seems that the Premium BT module is not yet available as a dealer option? Does that mean the dashboard screen (between the dials) wont show phone functions etc?

Any help would be much appreciated, apologies if the answer is in an older post, please link thread and I will continue to do my research.

Yes i got a cd based map from another member and it works well.
I'm just waiting for someone to get the 510 as a factory install in their new VW so they can share their new dvd maps with us.
