Fairfax media speaks out about VW refusal to acknowledge problems

The May 31 issue of Brisbane Times carries a long article headed 'Death prompts VW owners to speak out'. The title refers to the death of a young woman on the Monash Highway in 2011 when her Golf suddenly lost power and she was rammed by a semi. There have already been nearly 500 responses.

The article lists some of the current issues owners are having and VWA's dogged refusal to do the right thing by its customers. One of the issues listed is "Volkswagen in Australia has run a service campaign to fix a problem with diesel pump injectors, but many owners are unaware of it".

Does anyone have more information abut this - such as which engines/models/years are affected?

Essentially it refers to the Siemens Injectors in the 125Kw TDI motors. If you have one of these give your service agent / dealer a call with your VIN number and see if your car qualifies for the campaign.
