Make sure you tell them what you want. Don't pay more than what you are willing to and keep haggling. Don't listen to their dodgy dealer tactics. If it doesn't sound right, then it most likely isn't!

Take away the selling pressure do the deal over the phone, I had three dealers calling me. When they got to were I was happy, I walked in and signed the deal.

When i went to pick up the car i asked very nicely for car mat and he was nice enough to throw in genuine front vw mats for me.

Why can't we get GTI mats in Oz? What's the go? Are they trying to skimp on costs or what? I'm not happy however I may be in a bit of luck with some from the UK. Not grinning too hard yet.

Just picked mine up yesterday! Very happy with it, great blend of luxury, performance and practicality!

I got a new 5 Door, DSG, Black Magic, Leather, Sunroof, Tints, Paint Protection. Drive Away for $45,500 and my 7,500kms Service is free. All this and I had the car within 3 days of deposit. So I'm pretty wrapped.

Oh and mine does have the Aux input which is great as the Sales guy tried to sell me the Ipod intergration for $450 and told me there was no Aux input!

Now the clock starts ticking untill I get a re-flash....

yeah i agree not the best price, but i wasnt able to get any corporate discount. that was the best i could find, i even called WA and Melbourne none was able to give me that price

GTI DSG Leather Bluetooth Candy white $44,000 on the road (corporate discount )
Apparently.... if you join VFF (Victorian Farmers Federation) online for $300 - which anyone is eligible to do - you can get the corporate discount. Was suggested by a dealer. I didn't need this as I am with another professional body. Anyone else done this?

You won't regret the GTI. I was looking at the GT sport originally and knew straight away the second I sat in the GTI that I just had to get one....and now I am in love
