    • This is my 4th car ....nothing compares to the GTI. I was in love with VW when I drove the Passat when I was overseas last year. You will love it!

The beauty of when I ordered my car was I didn't put down any deposit. Paid in full on the day I picked it up. I was just lucky Latte interior didn't take as long as I expected but 5wks was long enough. Let us know how you go Hibba. Goodluck.

                  • Jetta best price and opinions

                    Hi Folks,

                    First post

Just wondering what the best price anyone has paid for a Jetta TDi manual was.

What do the Jetta owners think of the car any problems ?

I want to be able to use my iPod do I need the accessory connection or is there an aux built into the stereo ?

                    Cheers

                    • The dealers in Melbourne have drive away deals on Jettas, which started in the middle of September, until the end of October,so now is an excellent time to buy an excellent car.
VW always moves a lot of volume with these specials.
December 2007 was the last time the Jetta was on special, and they sold almost 700 units that month.

We have done around 1200km in our Jetta TDI and it's great. Still enjoying the novelty of turbodiesel torque surge. No problems, apart from an annoying rattle that has developed in the centre dash air diffuser, but apparently this is a very common problem. I'll be getting the dealer to look at it at the first service (if I don't get impatient and try and fix it myself in the meantime). We paid $38,931 driveaway for a manual transmission TDI with leather, pearlescent paint and fog lights. You'll probably manage better than that now there are some driveaway deals happening.

With the iPod adapter, there is no way to connect an iPod to the stereo with the standard car stereo. You'll need to get the VW iPod adapter fitted, or a third party one like the Connects2 or Denison IceLink.

                          Thanks for the information droplet,

How do you find the black paint, they look great but I was wondering if dirt shows up quickly. Wife has a citroen c4 and the turbo surge is what raised my interest. Will have to get iPod sorted as it so handy compared to lugging cds around.

                          Cheers

                              • Get the diesel GT.

I have a CW GT TSI with DSG and I kinda wish I had got the diesel as the TSI can't be chipped by anyone local.

I think if a chip ever comes out for it (unlikely) then it will be superb.
