How much did you pay for your Jetta/Golf?

VW currently have 'driveaway deals at the moment (excluding the Pirelli edition of course).....I would still bargain for less as most of us got driveaway prices and less when this deal wasn't being offered.

Hard to get anything off a GTI at the mo, no more coming into the country til the mk6 from what i been told and the exisitng stock list is pretty low.

Thats coz there are some available, but if the dealership that has the car sitting on its lot doesnt sell it, then its up for grabs by any other dealer.

only 1 month old,not sure if I like it... the engine is disappointing... maybe it is the DSG and its weird gear changes. This is a downgrade from a Audi 2.0TQ (mortgage reasons). I know a few more $ and could of got a R32 however I needed the boot space! too bad VW don't make a R34.

Just needs an ecu reflash and it will go nicely.

they are tuned hell soft from the factory.

Also - STRIP THAT INTERIOR OUT and send me the leather. Your car will be heaps faster!

The car is new and hasnt been run in yet. Mine has 1500kms and its still quite tight also. I love the DSG though.

I was quoted $41,300 for a White 5 door manual with leather (Feb 09 compliance). I get the impression that's as low as they'll go.

Anyone done any better in Perth?

John Hughes are doing GTI's with DSG for 42990 driveaway....

41.3 with leather, but manual, is pretty good (was that driveaway?)... Bloody WA stamp duty. What a rip.

Golf 6 Deal Negotiated

Just bought a Golf 6 103TDI Sports Pack with DGS in Reflex Silver, Tint, RCD510 Stereo, Front & Rear VW Moulded Rubber Floor Mats and VW Moulded Rubber Boot Mat @ 38.8K drive away in Brisbane. The discount was 3.8K. Don't get ripped on dealer delivery either at 2.995k, I paid $995.00 which is a lot better but still not that cheap.
