How much did you pay for your Jetta/Golf?

got my Golf Comfortline 1.9 ltr TDi DSG about a month ago.

Came with Factory sunroof, Metallic paint (Black), ESP, tinted windows, floor mats and ipod adaptor. I traded my Xy series 2 commodore and paid just under $22000 cash. Drive Away price without trade would have been around $32,000 including full tank of fuel, dealer delivery and on road costs.

Golf GTI....it was a preorder in 2005..picked it up pretty much on the day of release...was only about 16 or so coming into the country each month at that stage from what I remember.

paid a premium because i wanted one more than life itself ...test drove one in the UK so wasnt totally blind to it.

No you have to ask for the GTI embroidered mats, i made the mistake of not saying i wanted those ones

But you can buy them on the net pretty cheap about US$120

Yeah I was told the same thing when I picked up my brother GTI

The car they showed me when I was purchasing it had them and they told me I would be getting them

yeah, i got custom mats, but no GTI logo on MY08.

Holy crap... I'm glad I came across this website...
My total quoted priced is $43,386.00, for a 1.4 Golf GT TSI 5 door DSG, with leather and sunroof. I was thinking if I got it for $41K I'd go for it, but wow, some people have really scored some bargains. No fleet discount will be available to me, the joys of working in a small practice.

Any advice for a first time car buyer, who is also female and young?
