You have to be careful about buying the GTI mats from the US as I've heard that their LHD mats don't fit our RHD cars.

With regards to the GTI mats. I asked for them when I ordered the car but when I picked the car up on Wednesday the dealer had fitted standard black ones.

They said the GTI mats are not made any more, is this true??

Buying a new car should be fun & exciting....not something that is seen as a chore. I understand how you feel. You gotta be happy with your deal though.

it was fun but when i constantly got shot down while asking for a test drive because they thought i was wasting there time it got to me. If only they knew i had the deposit of cash in my pocket at the time

I know the feeling. I have been wandering around shops in my addidas tracksuit and sneakers looking like a shoplifter. After they give me no service for like 5 minutes, I let my 2008 Rolex GMT drop down out of my sleeve and cross my arms. You can see them calculating the fact that I wear a kia rio on my wrist and how big of a sale they might have lost.

The interesting thing is. The more expensive the shop the less they judge you buy your outfit.

You should have seen my golf dealers face when I had bought the car over the phone for a discounted price including extended rego and tint after 5 weeks of calling each week to discuss. Then we rolled up in dads long wheelbase black Jaguar. I had been staying stuff like "Look that's really at my limit. I just can't stretch that extra $500. I will call in a few weeks if it is still there, thanks."
