    No light on dash and rattle is on left side but rattles can travel!

        Thanks for you help Jmac wish you were down here I'd be booking it in!

        Have booked it in again to VW and i'm going to insist that they pull the thing apart and find it. I looked through my notes when they changed the intake cam last year and at the time they said that the timing belt was out one tooth but I also remember the rattle being worse after they had it. Maybe it wasn't out and they put it out? Who knows.
