  • MK5 Jetta 147 - Black oil after service

Just had my 2009 TFSI Jetta serviced (30000KM) at VW last Friday.

Decided to check over the car on this fine rainy day and noticed the oil on the dip stick in black > and I have only driven 45km.

In the past > I have changed oil in my cars and the oil would always be golden colour for atleast a few thousand KM.

    Any one elese experience this?

Also - the car is just out of warranty and therefore was serviced under the fixed price service plan as part of extended warranty. The service was $220... I wonder how they cut the cost from the standard VW service $425 price?

Mmmmm, I would be contacting your service dealer to discuss that, diesel I could understand but a petrol? I would definitely be asking some questions.

Sounds like the oil wasnt changed and exactly the reason why i dont trust dealerships.

Fresh oil will look like apple juice (colour wise) for at least 1,000km after its been changed.
