  • PCV - Aftermarket fix or OEM..?

    Hi.
Car is off to get a scan on thursday - think something is up as I have not as much power as I should - diverter valve will be replaced also.
If the PCV is also on the way out - do i.....
    1. Get the bosch PCV fix..?
    2. Get a OEM revision..?

Just wondering what the consensus is these days..?

    I am bluefinned also.

    Cheers

Didn't realise that Bosch had a PCV fix?

I'd get something like the BSH / Eurojet PCV block off plate like Tim from DubAddiction sells. I fitted one of the Eurojet ones to my friends Mk5 GTI about a year ago (his stock PCV failed) and it does the job perfectly.

Re the divertor valve, good idea to change it over to the new style - as you probably know, the old ones (like what your car would have fitted to it) commonly rip internally which causes it to leak boost pressure.

      Cheers.
Woops I meant BSH - will get one from Dubaddiction I imagine.
Car is not running too badly just a definate loss of power and boost so will get the scan to confirm and then replace both.
