MKV Jetta 2.0TFSI (147kw)

Hi,

My brother just put a deposit down on an 06 Jetta 147tsi. Anything in particular with these cars which is prone to failure? it has similar kms to my GTI (100k+) so I have some idea of what to expect.

My current short list:

Check PCV valve
Check CV boots
Check for engine mount cracks
Check if timing belt/ waterpump has been replaced
Check if plugs have been done
Check that the last DSG service was on at 60k

Any help appreciated.

TFSI and TSI which you both mentioned, are different engines (obviously). Also, i am not sure the TFSI is 147KW in the Jetta?

Also, check the Diverter Valve, Elec Windows, A/C

Yeah sorry to clarify its the same 2.0T engine which is in the GTI, the 147kw.
