Lol, who cares about it. Its not like most people don't treat it worse than that on a frequent basis? Imagine second hand cars sheesh... Just be glad that the car was taken to the limit and survived and didn't die like so many cars often do from less that reputable manufacturers!

Totally unrelated to VW.....I took delivery of my current car A Toyota Camry V6 Sportivo on 21 Dec 2004....it was built on 14 Dec 2004 and had just under 2 Ks on the clock. It clocked 2 as I drove out of the dealership.
I pick my Jetta up next week so shall post my Km reading when i have it.
The first 1000 old AU falcons had a toggle switch to turn the odo on and off....when off it did not clock.
