    wow, that's pretty low in my opinion to thrash a sold car.

    I heard that the odometer can only be reset once and only if under 100km, though I have no way of backing it up.

      Lol, who cares about it. Its not like most people don't treat it worse than that on a frequent basis? Imagine second hand cars sheesh... Just be glad that the car was taken to the limit and survived and didn't die like so many cars often do from less that reputable manufacturers!

              My last car had 11.

              Should have seen the look on the servo guy's face when i paid with the fuel card and he asked for the mileage. Classic.

                        Dont think the Km's can be reset in any car...

                        I work at a suzuki dealership, I delivered a swift the other day with a whole 3kms on the clock.

                            Dunno about Suzukis but V dubs all have that ability.

                              it can reset in any car no matter digital or analogue, may be not in Aus, i will not mention which country... maby be some people already knew it.

                                Totally unrelated to VW.....I took delivery of my current car A Toyota Camry V6 Sportivo on 21 Dec 2004....it was built on 14 Dec 2004 and had just under 2 Ks on the clock. It clocked 2 as I drove out of the dealership.

                                I pick my Jetta up next week so shall post my Km reading when i have it.

                                The first 1000 old AU falcons had a toggle switch to turn the odo on and off....when off it did not clock.
