hey all,
anyone know if it is possible to install factory option recaros to a standard mkv r32 after? if so any places you may suggest may carry replicas or geniune recaros for the r32?

you cant get replicas because the seats have airbags. your only bet would be to import some from the UK

these guys sell cheap copies which are ADR compliant; next thing will be to get suitable rails.

The Recaros don't have the airbags. You lose that when you tick the Recaro option vs the standard seats.

Recaro have a large range of seats, and quite honestly, the one that has been chosen by VW isn't the one that I would have gone for. They are very much an individual fit.

Whilst I haven't looked at the installation of the VW Recaros, I'd expect that you will need to get hold of VW base frames. The seats themselves attach to the frame with 4 bolts.

New Recaros cost in the order of $2k each, but you may be able to find a set of second hand ones that you could retrim to match your car. http://www.idealseat.com.au/lx_vs.html
