G'day all, a few months ago the engine/exhaust light came on on my 04 FSI Golf. I took it to the local mechanic who plugged in the diagnostic computer he had and it read NOX Sensor without any further information. He rang an ECU specialist and quoted $1200 to fix it (ouch!).
I've e-mailed lambdapower.co.uk, they have the part but after trying to remove what I thought was the sensor (I couldn't) and find the sensor controller (I can't) decided that the pros needed to do this job.
I took it in to the mechanic today to have it fixed and got a call this afternoon asking me if I knew which NOX sensor it was because there is apparently 2 on my car. Of course, I have no idea - searches have shown this problem on UK 1.6 FSIs but there is nothing about there being 2 sensors.
Is there two NOX sensors and is there any way to tell which one it is?
Thanks!
