Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Pacific...

    Yup.. spoke to my dealer.

She confirmed this after 4 hours, saying that she had absolutely no idea and found out the following.

Comfortline 1.9TDi is going out, they will continue to produce Trendline 1.9 though, so in terms of engine/parts, no problem.

2 new lines are coming out in place of the names 'trendline' and 'comfortline'. Pacific is one of them. And I can't remember the other.

As far as I'm concerned, as long as I have parts for the car, servicing is going to be okay and my resale value isn't going to be affected, I'm fine.
Couldn't ask for a better price- I think I've got a pretty dang ridiculous offer from them already- $31k driveaway for my baby.. including metallic paint and 12 months rego.
Please don't tell me I got ripped off just in case someone out there bought it for a lot less than that....

    MY12 Golf 118 TSI, manual.

I think that is a load of the proverbial. I was informed on 5 November. The salesman said it was in an email bulletin from VWA to all dealers.

Anyway, enjoy your 1.9. I went for a test ride in one and was very impressed -heaps of usable torque.
