Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I was at Burwin VW this morning, dropping off the number plates for my R32. Whilst there I took a GT TDI DSG for a drive. Very impressive car. Mid range punch was excellent. About 45 minutes of reasonably spirited driving, and the fuel consumption was 8.1 lt/100 km.Last edited by jb747; 11-10-2007, 03:15 PM.MY08 R32, DSG, Sunroof, RNS510

I'm looking at getting myself the 1.4 GT Sport with DSG. Barloworld are quoting $39,560 for the manual and $41,920 for DSG for a barebones car. Bit more if you want the Diesel.
How much can I expect to get shaved off with some good haggling?
