Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Visited my friendly local Audi dealer today to price (with a lot of trepidation I may add) as they are only available as an OEM part. Not on their system as yet, so waiting on a call back tomorrow.
Yeah I saw them too. Just wondering if anyone would like to guinea pig them first and of course how much they would be. Figure that due to them only "blocking" up one air vent space it wouldn't make too much diff but would look nuts.

Actually looking at all the work involved I think I may not do this one....(Picture homer trying to hit the nail on the roof from the Simpsons movie and that's me)

      Keep us informed =)

I am sure that some cluey person could manufacture up a new vent in ABS plastic that incorporates such a light and market it?

One question, anyone miss not having any fog lights?
With everything almost coming standard I just plain forgot that they don't even come as an option. Apparently something to do with better air flow to the engine.
Well done! Bet you can't wait...

Forget the foggies - I don't use mine either.
Now if we can just get GM & Ford to delete them from the SS and XRs, my retinas may just recover
