they are to compliment GTI springs...the TDI springs are a slightly different shape, so I need a petrol Mk5's shocks. So yeah i figured an Audi model may have them?

I'm not entering any races anytime soon with a diesel, so damping differences dont really bother me too much.

Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to get some other springs mate?

Oh and did you get my message re Vag Com?

Well if i can just get the strut tops then ill be laughing....Or if you can recommend some budget-friendly springs for the front of a TDI then swing your suggestions my way.

just a quick one.. Will 2008 GTI springs fit a 2005 TDi? and if so how much lower are GTI springs than TDi?

GUYS, GO OUT AND BUY THE WHITELINE ANT LIFT KIT AND FRONT BUSHING KIT AND HAVE IT FITTED. BEST SUSPENSION TWEAK ON MY CAR, PERIOD.

Steering and front end are so sharp now I can't believe how bad it was before.

The factory bushings are rubbish and have 1-2cm play in every direction when I put a screwdriver through the hole and just apply a bit of pressure with my hands!
