  • My latest mod

Ok, so I had a free 10 minutes yesterday. Got the GTI on the hoist and fitted my lower torque arm insert. It arrived from Guy in the mail on tuesday.
It was very easy to fit and the improvement to the hopping under HARD accellerating was immediately noticeable. It stops the "axle tramp feeling" and makes no more noise inside the cabin.
Thanks Guy, another major improvement, another one I owe ya!!!
    Cheers, Andrew

Soft blow the insert in, too easy!

Simply do up the bolt to spec, all done and a massive improvement

gtimk5, that looks the business. And an easy fit too!

Guy H, I just checked out the website, any chance on getting one of these (or something similar) for a MK4 GTI? Axle Tramp is a REAL issue with them too!

Hey Glenn, yep - sorry, they have slipped off the website - we did them years ago in 80 & 90 duro so you can choose.

I'll get them back on the site next week

Interesting, good to hear it is effective. Could you post the link to the website you bought this from?

                Yeah, I'm also interested.
On anything other than straight ahead under mild to hard throttle my GT gets a mild (not loud) banging/thumping from the inside wheel. I'm guessing this is axle tramp, due to a fair bit of torque (200Nm+) being available just off idle.

It'd be nice if such a simple doo-dad could cure this.

Koni coilovers are apparently on the way Mikinoz. Colour coding is complete.
I went to some local caves along a gravel road yesterday and it was as smooth as under accellleration while wheel spinning. Another fantastic mod to my car and no negatives at all!!!
The site to look is www.goapr.com.au
Excellent Ozzie design! Also fit TDIs, Passats, Eos's, A3's TT and Jettas.

This is the same as the Neuspeed on on eBay.com.au, just with an APR sticker on the plastic bag!

Totally incorrect - the APR one is made here (in Brisbane) and is available in 80 & 90 durometer (You choose!) - we have tested some OS versions & found the stiffest to be about 140 duro (induce a little vibration like 7.2 on the Reichter scale!).

Tested in 5 cars for 6 months before release & if you look closely, there is a fair difference in the way the void fills are approached.

Bit like saying a golf is a elantra - well sort of, they are both cars......

Buy Australian made ! (We export these to the US)
