ive the same model car and it too suffers from a lot of road noise. had a brand new set of tyres fitted when i bought it and they are noisy think you deffinatly need to look for "low road noise" type of tyre- hindsight is a wonderful thing

      Tire Selection chart?

Can a kind member point me in the direction of a tire chart/report that lists say half a dozen tires with all their faults and virtues.

I'm skeptical about approaching a tire dealer, I reckon they would steer me in the direction of a tire they would profit from most.

          Pirelli tyres?

I'm looking for a quieter ride, plus additional benefits.

Will Pirelli Cinturato P4 or Pirelli P3000 fit the bill? The Pirelli brand were recommended to me by VW Camberwell, Melb.

          Any comments would be appreciated.

Decode vehicle data codes, how ?

How can the vehicle data codes, printed in the handbook, and I believe also in the boot, be decoded?

I'm almost certain that in this forum, was a place where the codes could be typed in, then decoded. Buggered if I can find it again. Might have been another forum.

Where do I go from here?

No luck on my previous question re tires, no one got Pirelli's?

                Michelin XM2 tires?

Not having much luck with answers on this forum, still, here goes again.

Visited JaxQuick fit tires, and their recommendation is Michelin XM2 tires. Apparently these are fairly new from June this year.

They reckon they are quiet running with longer wear and save petrol with low rolling resistance. Price $149 each.

Have you tried these out, standard 15" size?

The older model of these Michies had a good reputation as a touring tyre. Apparently they're very good for fuel economy. Not a performance tyre but if you're just looking for a good touring tyre then I don't think you could go wrong. And that price seems pretty competitive too.
