Guess I should add to this. I had my mechatronics replaced twice. and I sill have a slight shudder when coming to a stop. and quite a surge when accelerating from scratch. so much so that sometimes it hits the rev limiter. I'm out of ideas and vw says they ant find anything.

Beau is very knowledgeable with the DSG gear box he would of only reset it back to its right setting, and in doing so would of erased the error.

Anyone had their mechatronics replaced recently? I would like to know how much they charge for an out of waranty second owner car. Would VW come to the party since it is a known problem?

Mine has the same symptoms, I would have to agree with "Umai Naa!!" there is no way this is related to the PCV..

The Mechatronics is about $4,500 exchange, from memory. Labourwise, around 3 hours to do the job.

Try and get some assistance through VW. If you can prove it's got spot-on dealership service history, and that the DSG has been serviced every 60,000klms, they may come to the party.

well, its just upsetting that i paid so much money, told them of the issues i was having.. and all they did was reset the comp and tell me theres absolutely nothing wrong with the car.. im pretty sure that not all the golfs drive like mine do.. a semi trailer is probably driving better than mine right now
