Being a VW Golf advocate, I talked my mum into buying a VW for her next car. She ended up getting a '09 Jetta Tdi from Denlo in Parramatta. Great car.... when it starts.
For the 6 months she has owned it, the car has been back in the workshop 4 times, been towed a couple and she has had to be rescued by roadside assist about 6 times. Basically it's reached the stage where she doesn't like going anywhere in it for fear of being stranded - understandable for a 68 year old woman.
Denlo have been sympathetic, but unable to fix the issue despite trying numerous ECU scans, fuel flushes, key recodes etc. I can't see how she can continue putting up with this, no point buying a near new from a VW dealer and end up with a unreliable lemon.
Wondering if anyone has had any luck escalating issues like these where the car is clearly a lemon to either denlo senior mgt or VW aust management?
