Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

The new ones are just boring.

I reckon the R deserves some nice chunky rims. So make it a bit more aggressive looking
Thats the whole thing with the MkV R32...VW dont want it to be aggressive, totally different marketing approach to the MkIV. I have a friend in marketing at VW...she explained the theory to me, is hard to know what the general publics impression of the R32 is when you hang out with hardcore dubbers

Apparently totally different target market to the GTI....apparently...
1986 MkII Golf GTI 16V (Sold), 2005 MkV Golf GTI (Sold), 2007 Polo GTI (Sold), 2011 Polo 66TDI (Selling), 2012 Passat 125 TDI Bluemotion, 2013 Scirocco R (Due October!)

i reckon the gt rims are hot. maybe they should switch the rim styles between the gt and the r32? give the r32 some 18 or 19" versions of the gt wheels to give it that classic bbs look but at the same time huge and mean and give the cheaper gt those ugly things they've just put on the my08 r32.

I think the wheels I have comming from Velocity in the states would look niiiice in 19" on your grey R32.

I like them - Although they need to be 1" bigger as 7164 said.
