Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I think the 90TSI you could definitely get for under 32k but that's not even comparable to a GT TDi. I'm probably a bit biased but I don't even think you can compare the 118TSi to the GT. Closest comparison would be the GTD but thats a 46K car.
I noticed on carsales over the weekend, that you can get a mk6 118TSI for low 20's now.. sure they are second hand but value buying considering they are still 35k new.

The probable reason why they are so cheap compared to the GT/GT Sports is the number of problems the model has had since it was introduced. Blown engines being at the top of the list.

I'd rather have the GT/GT Sport over a 118 any day.

Cost about $850 when buying from Germany and sold old headlights for $300. There was a little work involved with installing them and running the 2 extra wires back to under the dash. Work perfectly for me, happy as larry.

Check the Audio/Electronics section for details on the RNS-510.
