GREAT GREAT CAR!!! The time the dealer picked me up at my workplace, he told me he is going to give me a big surprise... Just after I signed all the paper work, he told me he has done the Paint Protection stuff (called Fifth Element or Fifth Generation, or something like that) on my car for free (worth $2000 which includes window tinting)... it comes with a package with a bottle of wet shampoo, dry shampoo, glass cleaner and leather treatment...

Best dealer I ever see here in Brisbane, very friendly and nice... (I brought mine from Highway Auto Group)

One more thing to mention, the tinted windows are great!!!

I ordered my GTI last week - won't get it til November sometime. Can't wait. However, plans are afoot to have it tinted at another place (i.e. not VW). I have heard very good things about this other place and will be going for a slightly darker than normal tint (it may be darker than legal...maybe shh).

Anyway, can't wait. Am enjoying reading everybody's posts and gaining a lot of insighted into the car

Actually I ordered the tinted windows to be done by the dealer. Eventually, the paint protection stuff(that I got it free-of-charge) worths about $1500. I guess my tinted glass is already dark enough (see my photo) which is hardly visible at night from the outside.

That's cool. At least I won't rock up to the dealer and he says "look, I tinted ya windows for ya!". That would be bad.

Yeah my friend had his SS-V's windows tinted by this place. Think it was the shade darker than legal (it is 30% VLT). Looks pretty good. My Golf is going to be white and I've seen a couple of pics on the net and I only think a real dark tint on a white one is the goods. Your's looks pretty sweet though

You ordered a White GTI... are you going to paint the rear bumper (color code)? The original black doesn't look good and mine as well. I will do mine as soon as I have time...

I'm thinking about doing the whole thing...like minigolf did. Not that i want to be a copy-cat...it just looks so good!
