Egr electrical fault

Hi all,
My wife's 2007 Golf 2.0 FSI lit up it's check engine light this morning. I ran a fault code scan and found that the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve N18 has reported an electrical malfunction:
P1400 - 002 - Lower limit exceeded

I cleared the DTC and restarted the car and seems ok.

Am I ok to leave it and see if it recurs or do I have to replace the N18 valve?

Should be fine to leave it and see if it happens again, it's probably just physically gummed up with soot and oil blowby, which is notorious for causing moving parts like these to stall and burn out. They are not cheap, so I hope it's a one off. If not, I'd be shopping in the UK if you have no warranty option.

Thanks I will look into sourcing one from OS given the current AUD.
Anyone got a contact for a good uk dealer for spares?
Also has anyone in Sydney replaced one of these and is willing to help out for the obligatory case or two of beer?
