Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Wheels for Jetta TFSI

Have to change my tyres on my jetta tfsi pretty soon and seeing there is some gutter rash form the previous owner, am contemplating changing to a new set of wheels and tyres. The classix look good with standard height but was wondering if there were any other wheels out there that look good without needing to lower the car (17/1. Like 18s but I think they only look good with lowering but I'll have to change my shocks soon so may go that way. Also anybody knows where to get replica rims in brisbane?

I still think Jetta's best OEM wheel is the Charleston, followed by the Vision.
There are plenty of options, limited only by your taste or budget.

Some Merc wheels can look good but are often using an offset too extreme for Jetta unless you don't mind a bit of rubbing.

I am running 18" but before that, 17" BBS but it's just a matter of finding what you like and what you want to buy.

Bizi's Jetta TDI: Blue Graphite w. factory leather & tint, plus + Enkei Racing NT03+M + Yokohama S Drive 18s, Koni FSD, Neuspeed coils, GTI RSB + brakes, InPro mirrors, VW navi, Modshack. Come for a drive through the twisties on Saturdaze.

The more spokes, the better. I find that's the general rule on bigger cars.

I have 18x8 with a +50 offset and 225/40/18 tires, it's nice fitment for practical use.

Then you'd likely want to lower it a bit more than if it were on 19s - to prevent it looking like a truck running 24" wheels!

The OEM VW/Audi wheels are listed on an extensive database list at myturbodiesel.com. With pics and lots of info like offset, which is worth a look.

                Sydney... Haha.

Jax is the usual answer, they have a large range and normally some that suit our 5x112 PCD. Many wheel shops don't have anything in stock for our cars.

                    TFSI is already lowered.

                    Charlestons FTW.

Best combo, Dion! It's always a pleasure to see such a Jetta. Hopefully you have xenons too.

No Xenons, just standard. I don't do much night driving in the Jetta anyway.

Who can point me in the direction of something similar to the classix but in 18'?

Boon, what you seem to be looking for is some kind of BBS 18" wheel, since there are several designs from BBS with a similar look to the Classixs.
Maca has the black Jett TFSI with BBS 18s so that's a starting point - then head over to the TireRack.com site to try on some other BBS wheels onto their Jetta image.

Check out the Enkei Racing wheels while you're at it. They are very light and very good!
