This means you should apply for your renewal now to avoid any disruptions to your membership whilst the renewal process is taking place! NOTE: If you have an auto renewing subscription this will happen automatically.
I suggest you at least try talking to one of the dealers. They may replace it for you since it is a manufacturing defect regardless of the fact that your car is out of warranty. You have nothing to lose.
I'd try warranty, but it doesn't affect the glass unless it starts seriously delaminating. I've got a few chips turned cracks in my current one too. I got a quote for a new one (I have the rain sensor - Not sure if they all do?) but it was $350 from memory including fitting. I didn't go for it, but i've got the 'free glass replacement' option ticked on my insurance so when it does actually break it'll be replaced for free! (I suggest ticking that option!)
